In the realm of anime, characters use all sorts of combat techniques to fight. Many of them stick to traditional martial arts, which will never go out of style. Many characters are known for their devastating blows, from One Punch Man Saitama bald with cape for from my hero academia Izuku, who runs One For All. Other characters would rather deliver devastating kicks.
Some kick-oriented anime characters are dedicated martial artists who have spent many years training to deliver the perfect kick in combat. Other characters just kick for comic relief, such as kicking a troublemaker who is bothering them. Either way, these characters can kick like no one else in their respective anime series.
10 Nezuko Kamado tends to kick her enemies (Demon Slayer)
In Murderer of demons, Tanjiro’s powerful little sister Nezuko tends to use hand-to-hand combat when fighting demons, unlike Tanjiro who uses his Nichirin sword. Nezuko has the power of a true demon, including her sharp claws and her fire-based demon art, but she seems to have a preference for kicks.
In an early fight, Nezuko kicked a demon’s head and then kicked Susamaru’s temari balls, almost like a soccer player. She also employed kicks and other moves when he was fighting Upper Moon 6, Daki, mercilessly.
9 Yoruichi Shihoin kicked Yammy hard (bleach)
bleach Ninja-like Soul Reaper Yoruichi Shihoin is a dedicated stealth expert and martial artist; he was never seen drawing his zanpakuto at all. She lets her punches and kicks do the talking; the Espada Yammy learned the hard way that little Yoruichi is not to be trifled with.
Yoruichi unleashed devastating kicks at her much larger foe, knocking him to the ground. He also used kicks when he fought his protégé Captain Soi Fon, though that battle ended in a draw when these former friends finally reconciled with each other.
8 Asuna Kagurazaka sometimes drives away troublemakers (Negima!)
The impulsive tsundere Asuna Kagurazaka is one of Negi Springfield’s best friends overall. Negima! franchise; she is like a protective older sister to him. Still, she isn’t afraid to send Negi flying with a punch or kick, usually to comedic effect. Negi often unintentionally teases her.
Although Asuna’s main weapon is an anti-magic fan, she is noted for her advanced martial arts for her age, including many fine kicks. He takes pride in his martial arts and, if asked, would gladly demonstrate his excellent kicks.
7 Tenya Iida is all about kicking (My Hero Academia)
Some anime martial artists are known to balance the use of punches and kicks, but from my hero academia running hero Tenya Iida, also known as Ingenium, focuses entirely on kicking. He has the Engine Quirk, which allows him to run in bursts of extreme speed and deliver kicks like Recipro Burst and Recipro Turbo.
Tenya’s speed and kicks make him a formidable foe for any opponent who cannot easily contain or outmaneuver him. He did well in the UA Sports Tournament until Shoto finally defeated him.
6 Lenalee Lee also specializes in kicks (D.Gray-Man)
the gray man is a Halloween-style action anime whose combat system is based on the supernatural substance Innocence, which the heroes use to destroy the Akuma monsters. Different exorcists use various weapons powered by innocence. Lenalee Lee uses Innocence to power up her kicks.
Lenalee is energetic and fleet of feet; she can easily jump across a dangerous battlefield and crush low level Akuma with her kicks. She is also the little sister of Komui Lee, a high-ranking Black Order officer who is very protective of her sister.
5 Shinra Kusakabe delivers flaming kicks (Fire Force)
fire force the shonen hero Shinra Kusakabe is another protagonist who is dedicated to kicking; he is rarely seen using punches or other moves. He is a third generation pyrokinetic with the “Devil Footprints” technique, which is why he wears light sandals instead of heavy boots with his uniform.
Shinra can hit any infernal, white-clad cultist, or traitor with his ferocious kicks and only gets better and better as Captain Benimaru Shinmon trains him under Arthur. Shinra will need his flaming kicks to defeat the Ashen Flame Cult and save the world from the apocalypse.
4 L has practiced kicks (Death Note)

In one scene, a memory-deprived Light Yagami hit him, for which L responded with a powerful kick based on the capoeira fighting style practiced in Brazil.
L wouldn’t last long against Lenalee Lee or Tenya Iida, but luckily for him, he rarely fights his opponents in person, and kicking is a last resort. Instead, L would rather send the police and his other allies to capture Kira or other criminals.
3 Lucy Heartfilia often kicks people out of her apartment (Fairy Tail)
Fairy tales Celestial mage Lucy Heartfilia is best known for using keys to summon spirits in battle, but she can still kick or punch if people annoy her. She often punches or kicks people with unexpected force.
More than once, Lucy has knocked someone down or sent them into the sky with an aggravated kick. She also regularly kicks Natsu and Happy out the window of her apartment when she finds them there without her permission.
two Touka Kirishima favors kicks (Tokyo Ghoul)
tokyo ghoul Touka Kirishima is one of the best older sisters in anime and is also a personal trainer, friend, and lover of seinen hero Ken Kaneki. Earlier in the story, her Touka helped Ken practice martial arts, especially kicks, and she used even more kicks when he fought Shu Tsukiyama in that church one night.
Touka can’t be tokyo ghoul stronger ghoul, but she knows her stuff and can fight any punk ghoul with her kicks and kagune with ease. Later, she and Ken abandoned her violent lifestyle so they could start a family together.
one Sanji Vinsmoke kicks all day (One Piece)
one piece Straw Hat pirate Sanji Vinsmoke is known for various things, from his intense love of ladies to his excellent cooking skills and always having his bangs over one eye. He is also noted for his kick-based fighting style, so he can keep his hands safe during combat. As a chef, he can’t afford to have broken fingers.
Sanji is often seen as the third strongest member of the Straw Hat crew, with Luffy coming in first and Roronoa Zoro coming in second, and that’s a huge honor for Sanji. He dreams of opening his own restaurant one day, but until then, he’s happy to kick Luffy’s enemies into oblivion.
