the cast of Volume 0 was written by Gege Akutami as the original inhabitants of the world of jujutsu kaisen. As the series progressed and made its way into the world of anime, Volume 0 became something much more than the manga that inspired it.

10 Miguel holds Gojo in Shinjuku for an epic battle

jujutsu kaisen Volume 0 it’s a movie about Yuta Okkotsu and Suguru Geto, but that doesn’t stop Gojo from making an impact. The goofy, overpowered sensei has been a staple of the anime genre since the second episode of jujutsu kaisen fell in the fall of 2020.

Satoru Gojo spends most of his time in the new movie sticking his neck out for his new student, but when an army of cursed spirits is unleashed on Japan, he finds himself up against a powerful foreign sorcerer named Miguel. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 spends more time on this action sequence than the manga, allowing viewers to see Miguel’s abilities.

9 Miguel’s voice is silenced to make Gojo a hero

Miguel’s overconfident personality shows up in the manga when he challenges Gojo to a battle in Shinjuku. Unfortunately, this joke is cut from the anime film to give Gojo a chance to look like a hero.

Before Miguel can challenge Gojo in the film, the overpowered sensei recognizes the African sorcerer’s strength and stays in Shinjuku long enough to defeat him. This moment gave Gojo a chance to shine at the expense of Miguel’s personal expression.

Suguru Geto’s plan to unleash cursed spirits on Kyoto and Shinjuku is a canon part of both the manga and the movie. His plan may have been a hoax, but it left a lasting impact on the world of jujutsu.

Both the manga and the movie spend time detailing Geto’s attack on Tokyo, but only the movie takes the time to show the impact of the Night Parade of 100 Demons on the small town of Kyoto. Instead of focusing entirely on Gojo’s point of view in Shinjuku, the film moves to Kyoto to give the students of Kyoto Jujutsu High a chance to shine.

6 Mei Mei can be seen cutting down cursed spirits during the night parade of the 100 demons

The Night Parade of 100 Demons was never intended to be more than an elaborate feint. The manga makes this clear by bringing Shinjuku down just to show fans why Gojo couldn’t stop Suguru Geto from attacking his students.

Unlike the manga, the movie takes a minute to add context to the battle between the Cursed Spirit and the jujutsu sorcerer in Shinjuku. One of the sorcerers who made a cameo appearance during this minute is the money-hungry sorcerer Mei Mei.

5 Kento Nanami makes a brief cameo in the new movie

Nanami’s cameo is brief, but it gives fans a chance to see the sorcerer in action once more. The movie even shows Takuma Ino fighting alongside Nanami to add depth to their relationship.

4 Fans can see Shoko in action

Shoko Leiri has very little time to shine in the jujutsu kaisen manga As the foundation of the jujutsu world’s medical team, it’s a real shame that Shoko doesn’t earn more respect from Gege Akutami.

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0 aims to correct this mistake by showing Shoko struggling to keep up with the damage done to the world of jujutsu by the Night Parade of 100 Demons. This shot helps explain Shoko’s role as a sorceress and demonstrates exactly how overworked the young woman really is.

3 Volume 0 jumps right into Yuta’s life to avoid mimicking the anime series

Yuta & Rika _ Jujutsu Kaisen Manga Chapter 0.1

The opening sequence of Volume 0 The movie showed Yuta confronted by a group of bullies at his old high school. The gruesome scene is hard to watch thanks to MAPPA’s keen attention to color and detail.

The original opener of Volume 0 it showed Yuta sitting in a jujutsu holding cell. Instead of mirroring the manga and plotting the new movie the same way the anime series began, MAPPA decided to skip the first shot of Yuta sitting in his cell and jump right into the action.

two Geto’s explanation of Rika’s power is cut from the film.

Cursed energy and the cumulative energy that makes up the intelligence of a cursed spirit are two of the most complicated and confusing aspects of Jujutsu Kaisen. As the Nen energy system in hunter x hunterinformation about Cursed Energy is so rare that fans are willing to flip through the pages of each manga chapter to make sense of it.

One of the most important pieces of information that emerges from Volume 0 it is linked to the Cursed Spirit known as Rika and said by Suguru Geto: “Surreal. A spirit of endless cursed energy.” If this manga-exclusive quote is true, Yuta and Rika are even more overpowered than fans have given them credit for.

1 Gojo’s dialogue is changed for the film

Top 10 Things About Satoru Gojo

Gojo makes his presence known in the Volume 0 film as much as he does in the jujutsu kaisen anime series The overpowered sensei has become an icon since Gege Akutami’s manga burst onto the anime scene in the fall of 2020.

Unfortunately, some of Gojo’s best quotes are left out of the Jujutsu Kaiseni Volume 0 film. During his fight with Miguel, MAPPA opted to leave out one of Gojo’s MMA references. Later, when Gojo references Suguru Geto while talking to Yuta, his line changes to make their relationship seem like nothing more than an old friendship.
