From the beginning of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Boruto and Sarada were destined to meet. With Sasuke and the powerful Sakura as Sarada’s parents, it’s no wonder Naruto’s son knows her. Despite the friendship of her parents, they did not always get along.
At first, they barely respected each other and made it clear that they did not intend to be as close as their parents. However, as the show continued, they were forced together by different situations. The most obvious problem was that they were teammates on Team 7, forcing them to complete missions and respect each other.
8 Boruto did not grow out of his friendships
In her last school year, Sarada believed that the end of school would end her friendships. When she told Boruto about it, he disagreed with her. Like Naruto, he was obsessed with her relationships, which, in his eyes, did not change. After they argued, Boruto decided to make sure that she was right.
So he invited his friends over for a camping trip and searched for some tasty fish that he hoped would make their relationships memorable. When the hook caught the fish, the whole group, including Sarada, needed to help Boruto catch fish. This trip made Sarada realize that they would remain friends if they wanted to.
7 Boruto became a student of Sarada’s father
Although Sarada had rarely seen her father, she still admired and loved him. As Sasuke wandered the world working for the Seventh Hokage, he gradually became more present in the village. During one of his appearances, he saw Boruto as a genin.
Promising to be his student, Boruto began to memorize the Rasengan. While he was using it, Boruto formed different types of this jutsu. This friendly and mischievous genin wasn’t perfect, especially when Otsutsuki used him to attack Sasuke. Boruto still earned his father’s respect as he became a stronger ninja.
6 Boruto helped Sarada get out of his team
Boruto and Sarada originally had a hard time as friends, so it was understandable that they refused to team up. In order to part ways, they had to inform the Seventh Hokage. Standing in their way were Naruto’s guards, who were planning to block the genin.
As they ran towards the Hokage, they were confronted by one of the guards on a bridge. Despite her abilities, none of the ninjas defeated Mirai, so they teamed up. In the end, the stubborn Sarada requested that they be named Team 7 instead of being separated.
5 Boruto gathered the class to defeat Kakashi
In order to become a genin, Boruto’s class needed to steal Kakashi’s bell. With a bell, he pitted them against each other and the divided students were vanquished. But, after his defeat, Boruto teamed up with the rest of his teammates. In his plan, Boruto acted as a distraction for the group, especially when it came to Kakashi.
While Boruto was talking to Kakashi, his friends disguised themselves as Shadow Clones, which is a jutsu that Naruto probably taught Boruto. The disguised class prepared a jutsu that would freeze Kakashi. Once Kakashi was frozen, they impressed him that he wanted to see how long they could hold out.
4 Boruto seemed to have summoned Nue
After a fight between the girls and the boys, Shino separated her class for a contest. As Boruto and Sarada competed with each other to get to the roof of the school, he decided to catch the girls off guard by using a summoning jutsu. Coming out of the mist of jutsu, a creature in deep shadows and eerie light collapsed the school.
Due to Nue’s power, Konohomaru attacked him and saved everyone. This call surprised both teachers and students, including Sarada. After all, Boruto had never summoned a gigantic beast before and accidentally summoned one that ruined the school.
3 Boruto refused to stay away from Mitsuki
From the friendly Mitsuki to the traitorous Sumire, Boruto treasured his friendships, despite many of his friends’ choices. When Mitsuki jumped on a couple of village guards, she sent a snake with a message to Boruto. This message sounded as if Mitsuki had chosen to betray them.
However, Boruto refused to turn his back on Mitsuki. She wanted to track down his teammate and chat with him. Since Mitsuki disappeared, Boruto and Sarada were not supposed to go after him. But Boruto refused to let him leave his team. Instead, they chose to go after him and get an answer about what happened.

After Boruto disrespected his director, Sarada offered to make him the tour leader. After befriending the traitorous Kagura, Boruto insisted that they should confront him again without making a big deal out of it to prevent the adults from stopping the journey.
After finding Boruto beaten by the enemy, Sarada decided to help him. When they tried to help the controlled Kagura, the two genin worked together to defeat the self-proclaimed Seven Swordsmen. Due to Boruto’s decision, the excursion did not end and Kagura remained friends with them.
1 Boruto and Sarada went to save Konohamaru
After Sarada became chunin, the team was no longer under Konohamaru’s leadership. Without his genin team, Konohamaru accepted a mission as a guard and was captured by the enemy. Loyal Boruto and his teammates insisted on going after him to help him and the people under his protection.
During this rescue, Sarada, Boruto, and Mitsuki coordinated an attack and recovery of Konohamaru and the victims. This attack meant that Sarada trusted Boruto to do his job since he was in charge of rescuing Konohamaru. The success of this mission strengthened Sarada’s trust in Boruto to support his allies.
