Netflix releases the new Ultraman opening title sequence, showing the Six Ultra Brothers from season 2 as they take on some kaiju.

The new title sequence showcases several of the show’s new characters, including the mysterious new alien Maya, and the series’ newly expanded roster of galactic protectors, which sees Season 1’s Ultraman, Ultraman Seven, and Ultraman Taro joined by three new heroes: Ultraman Zoffy, Ultraman Jack, and Ultraman Ace. The six Ultramen will have to combine their powers to solve the mystery surrounding a mass disappearance on Earth and protect the planet from the alien force known as Dark Star.
The second season of ultraman is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Netflix on April 14. The season will have six episodes.
The computer-animated series is based on a 2011 manga written by Eiichi Shimizu and drawn by Tomohiro Shimoguchi. The series tells the story of Shinjiro Hayata, the son of the original ultraman protagonist Shin Hayata, and serves as a direct sequel to the classic 1966 live-action series. While it continues the story of the original show, it takes place in a different continuity that ignores the events of all subsequent sequels and spin-offs from the franchise. Season 2’s new lineup of heroes is an homage to the franchise’s original Six Ultra Brothers crossover, which appeared in 1972. ace of ultraman Serie.
The anime adaptation is produced by Production I.G.Ghost in the shell, Star Wars: Visions) and Sola Digital Arts (The Lord of the Rings: The Rohirrim War). The series is being produced by the directorial duo of Kenji Kamiya and Shinji Aramaki, best known for their work on Ghost in the Shell – Self Contained Resort and who also recently came together to lead the new Bounty hunter animated series, black lotus, which aired on Adult Swim and Crunchyroll last fall. The two are now working on the second season of Ghost in the shell: SAC_2045which will also stream as a Netflix exclusive this coming May.
It will also be released in Japan in May. ultraman shin, the live-action theatrical reboot of the franchise. The film is directed by shin godzilla co-director Shinji Higuchi and features a screenplay by Neon Genesis Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno. The film is the second film in Anno’s “Shin” series, and will be followed by the release of Shin Kamen Riderwhich Anno directs himself, in 2023.
Shimizu and Shimoguchi’s original manga is available in English on VIZ Media. The first season of the anime is now available for streaming on Netflix.
