Instagram user @lowcostcosplayth, known in the cosplay community for his creative methods of making costumes out of unconventional materials, posted a series of photos showing how to recreate the look of attack on titanThe most iconic characters from , including Eren Jaeger and the colossal, armored titans, use items you may have lying around the house. The clever cosplayer shows four ways to recreate the Colossal Titan’s wiry appearance using just plastic string, wooden matches, imitation crab meat, or the messiest method of all, ketchup and mayonnaise.
The Thailand-based cosplayer also recreates the iconic scene of Eren giving Mikasa his signature scarf and also portrays the Armored Titan’s unique appearance using apple slices. More fun and inexpensive costumes from Low Cost Cosplay can be seen on their Instagram page, where they have used vegetables to recreate the look of Dragon Ball characters and have even found a way to use their cat as a makeshift Batman cowl. The cosplayer’s costumes often make creative use of unique camera angles and perspective tricks, combined with creative (and occasionally slightly NSFW) use of their own body.
While these innovative cosplays certainly make some laugh attack on titan, things are looking bleak in the anime series itself, which is currently just two episodes away from the conclusion of the fourth and final season. Eren has initiated The Rumbling, his long-planned and potentially devastating plan to reshape the world, and his former friends in the Survey Corps. and Marley’s forces have been forced to unite to confront him. The 86th episode of the series is scheduled to air on March 20, and barring any unforeseen delays, the final episode of the TV series will premiere on April 3.

The anime was originally produced by Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings) for its critically acclaimed first three seasons, but production moved to the MAPPA studio (Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuri!! on ice) for both parts of the final season. Isayama’s manga concluded in 2020 and the entire series is now available in English on Kodansha USA, while previous seasons of the anime and the current season’s simulcast are available on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu. The final season also airs on Toonami as part of their late-night lineup.
