God of War Fan & Bodybuilder Cosplays Kratos While Lifting Weights

Bodybuilder Bradley Martyn has shown off a stunning God Of War Kratos cosplay as he performs his weightlifting routine in a viral video.

A weightlifter recently channeled Kratos’ power by working out in full God of War cosplay, and the resulting video has already gone viral. The Ghost of Sparta has always been a popular character to dress up as, with WWE Superstar Tommaso Ciampa recently showing off a Kratos-inspired costume while defending his NXT Championship at October’s NXT Halloween Havoc event. Prop creators have also recreated Kratos’ Leviathan Ax and Blades of Chaos, making cosplay easier than ever.

Since he single-handedly brought down the gods of Mount Olympus in the original God of War trilogy and has faced some of the most fearsome beasts of Norse mythology during his long-awaited return in God of War (2018), Kratos’ reputation for strength and power speaks for itself. Along four main lines God of War titles and numerous portable spin-offs, Kratos has erected massive stone pillars, climbed onto the back of the Titan Gaia, and battled enemies a thousand times his size without breaking a sweat. Kratos also has the muscular physique to match his godlike power, and has grown even stronger in the next God of War: Ragnarok.

In a video posted to r/GodofWar by Reddit user the_onion_k_nigget, Martyn lifts nearly 675 pounds while wearing Kratos’ signature body paint, drawing the attention of several onlookers and bending the barbell he’s using. Another shot shows him lounging in the bathroom with a replica of Kratos’ trusty Leviathan Ax by his side. So far, the_onion_k_nigget’s post has garnered over 1,600 likes in just a few days, meaning the internet is just as impressed with Martyn’s cosplay as people who see him at the gym. As mentioned, Kratos is set to return in God of War: Ragnarok which will be released later this year and will see Kratos and his son Atreus work to uncover the mystery behind an ancient prophecy that predicts the end of the world. While an exact release date for God of War: Ragnarok Still to be officially confirmed, a recent Saudi Arabian video game ratings ranking suggests the game could be out sooner than expected.

Kratos will have many opportunities to flex his muscles in God of War: RagnarokGiven that the sequel will see him take on powerful foes like Thor, as well as possibly pick up his legendary hammer Mjölnir. Meanwhile, fans like Bradley Martyn continue to channel god of wars ferocious anti-hero to perform his own impressive feats of strength.
