Spy x Family confirms the order of the episodes for the first season

Spy x Family has officially confirmed how many episodes it will be keeping with its debut anime season! Tatsuya Endo’s original manga series has been such a hit since it first launched on Shueisha’s Jump+ app that fans have been eagerly waiting to see the series get its own anime adaptation. Now that the time has finally come, as their new anime debuted as part of the spring 2022 anime schedule, and after the first episode, fans began to wonder how long this new anime would run in the coming weeks.

When Spy x Family initially announced to be in the works as a joint production between WIT Studio and CloverWorks, it was planned to run over two courses of episodes. Now that the anime has debuted and started listing its planned Blu-ray releases in Japan, it has been officially confirmed that the series will have 25 episodes in total (and will be distributed across six planned home video releases). The series’ first run for the spring 2022 schedule appears to be capped at 12 episodes and also based on the listing:

What is also interesting to note is that there will be a one-season break between the two courses. After episode 12, the series will take a hiatus for the summer before returning for episodes 13-25 in late October as part of the fall 2022 anime schedule. At a time when every nation in the world was engaged in a fierce information war going on behind closed doors, Ostania and Westalis had been in a state of Westalis Intelligence Services Division Focused on the East (WISE) sends its most talented spy, “Twilight”, on a top-secret mission to investigate the movements of Donovan Desmond, the chairman of the Unity Party Ostanian National, which threatens the peace efforts between the two nations.”

The synopsis continues with: “This mission is known as ‘Operation Strix’. It consists of ‘gathering a family in a week to infiltrate the social gatherings organized by the elite school Desmond’s son attends’. ‘Twilight’ He takes on the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger and begins searching for family members, but Anya, the daughter he adopts, turns out to have the ability to read people’s minds, while his wife, Yor, is a murderer! own interests to keep these facts hidden, they begin to live together while hiding their true identities from each other. World peace is now in the hands of this new family as they embark on an adventure full of surprises.”
