<p>Tsunade has been through a lot during her time in the series. When he was younger, he entrusted Hashirama’s necklace to Nawaki, his younger brother. Shortly after, he ran into a booby trap and was killed in battle. Then his first lover, Dan Kato, also died. </p>
<p>The next time he lost someone he loved was when Jiraiya died. Although they were never a romantic couple, it was clear that she loved Jiraiya.</p>
