Every Saitama vs. Garo Fight (so far)

The following contains spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter 159, “Source of Anxiety”, by One, Yusuke Murata, John Werry and James Gaubatz, available in English via Viz Media.

fans of One Punch Man For a long time I have seen similarities in Garo and Saitama. Garo’s drive for power and exponential growth has caused many to wonder if Hero Hunter will one day be able to match Bald Cape’s level of power, which only adds more excitement for future gatherings. While their most recent encounter is the most exciting yet, it’s not the first time they’ve traded blows.

Garo already has a history of assaulting Saitama, although none of his attacks hurt the hero. Saitama hasn’t made any effort to fend off the Hero Hunter yet. Here’s every moment these two have gotten in touch so far on One Punch Man.

After learning of a possible cash prize, Saitama agreed to enter a martial arts competition in Charanko’s place. She then started looking for a wig to make her costume more convincing. Meanwhile, Garo was walking in the Entertainment District when he saw a particular member of the Hero Association bragging about her status to some ladies. When the poor guy offered to introduce the girls to Sweet Mask, Garo showed up and knocked him out. That’s when Saitama appeared.

Saitama commented about finding the right one after searching everywhere, which Garo assumed was referring to him. Thinking that Corporal Bald was a hero keeping an eye on him, the Hero Hunter threw out a quick hand strike. The attack was strong enough to pin Saitama to the ground; however, annoyed at the sudden interruption of shopping for him, Saitama returned the same blow and knocked out Garo.

Saitama and Garo’s second meeting in One Punch Man came when Corporal Bald protected King from the Hero Hunter’s attack. Back then, Saitama was opening up to King about his problems, discussing the lack of emotion that came with being peerless. While King initially thought Saitama was referring to his hair, he offered his friend some meaningful advice, which he stole from a manga.

At that time, Garo was suffering from the injuries he had sustained fighting Watchdog Man. Garo saw King and Saitama walking together, but his eyes were focused on the former, whom he wanted to hunt down. He claimed to feel no pain and ran towards King, but before he could attack, Saitama had already kicked Garo into a wall.

Garo has dinner and runs, and Saitama too

Garo and Saitama’s third meeting is more comical than the first two. Saitama had just finished eating when he realized he didn’t have his wallet with him. Just as he was contemplating his life decisions, Blizzard came in to ask him to join his party. However, Saitama had other plans; he ordered another plate of fries and offered it to Blizzard, which he gratefully accepted. As if it were a signal, came the announcement of Garo having dinner and running. Saitama was gone in a blink of an eye in search of Garo, leaving Blizzard to pay the bill.

Garo saw Tareo being bullied and decided to help the boy, allowing Saitama to catch up to him. But instead of capturing Garo, Corporal Bald simply let him go with a warning. The Hero Hunter took this to mean that the hero felt sorry for him, so he went to beat up Saitama. Afraid of getting in trouble for being an accomplice, Saitama reflexively punched the Hero Hunter, knocking him unconscious once more.

Garo and Saitama’s most recent meeting in One Punch Man came when they brought out Centisennin and Evil Ocean Water respectively. Saitama went to Garo, thinking that he was the Monster King. In fact, Garo presented himself as a monster and continued to rant about being absolute evil. Corporal Bald ignored him, thinking that he wasn’t really a monster. Garo, annoyed at Saitama’s carelessness, launched a sneak attack, only to be blown away by Saitama’s reflex strike.
