Thor: Love and Thunder star Chris Hemsworth dresses his children as the titular God of Thunder to celebrate the twins’ eighth birthday.
Thor: love and thunder Star Chris Hemsworth posted a Thor-themed birthday cosplay of his twins, Sasha and Tristan, for their eighth birthday.
The adorable twins appeared on Instagram wearing their father’s Marvel Cinematic Universe costume, holding rubber mallets as their own personal stand-ins for Thor’s hammer Mjolnir. “Happy 8th birthday to my children!” the senior Hemsworth wrote in the caption. “If you’re asking if they’re allowed to wear superhero outfits other than Thor, the answer is no.”
The comment about not allowing his twin sons to wear any other superhero costumes was likely a reference to his Instagram post last year when Hemsworth showed off one of his sons on the set of Thor: love and thunder and revealed that his son seems to prefer Superman to Thor. “Holding my little man’s hand and asking him the age old question: ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?'” Hemsworth wrote. “‘Dad, I want to be Superman.’ Luckily I have two other children.”
Hemsworth has always been a proud family man. In 2019 after finishing avengers endgameThe Australian actor announced a brief hiatus from acting to spend more time with his wife, Elsa Pataky, their twin sons, and daughter India. “I just want to be home now with my kids,” he said at the time. “They are at a very important age. They are still young and when I go out they are more aware than before.”
Hemsworth is currently filming Thor: love and thunder, who recently returned to film again. It’s unclear how extensive these reshoots will be or if they’ll affect the film’s release date, as the premiere is only a few months away. When asked about the film’s progress, director Taika Waititi said, “It’s not finished yet… It’s coming out in July, so probably the end of June.” [laughs]. Probably like a day before the premiere. [laughs]. This is how we do it.”
avengers endgame was originally slated to be the end of Hemsworth’s contractual obligations to the MCU, but after discussing further ideas with Thor: Ragnorok director Taika Waititi, decided to sign on for a fourth film. Thor will be reunited with his love interest Jane Foster, played by Natalie Portman, who co-starred with Hemsworth in the first two Thor films but was absent for the third. The character of Jane Foster is expected to take on the mantle of The Mighty Thor, as she did in the comics.
Thor: love and thunder It will hit theaters on July 8.
