Demon Slayer Epic Anniversary Event Will Be Streamed Live Worldwide

Two special events featuring the cast of the Demon Slayer anime will be broadcast internationally to celebrate the anime series’ third anniversary.

Sony Music Solutions announced that fans around the world will be able to see two of the events that are part of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No YaibaThe upcoming third anniversary celebration of . The two live streams, one of which will focus on the Mugen Train arc while the other will be based on the Entertainment District arc, will feature a special live reading of an original story by the anime’s voice cast. There will be English and traditional Chinese subtitles. Fans will need to purchase a ticket to access each live broadcast, which is priced at 4,120 yen (about $30 USD at current exchange rates). The Entertainment District event will take place first, on Friday, April 15 at 11:00 pm PDT, followed by the live reading of Mugen Train on Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 pm PDT. The voice actors who will be in both live readings will be Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira). Katsuyuki Konishi, who plays the fan-favorite Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, will appear exclusively at the Entertainment District arc event, while Satoshi Hino, the voice actor for the beloved Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, will participate in the live reading of Mugen Train.

Both events are part of the permanent celebration of the third anniversary of the Murderer of demons Original premiere of the anime. The incredibly popular shonen series is produced by animation studio Ufotable, which was previously best known for its work at Bandai Namco. Stories RPG series and various entries in the Fate stay night franchise. The show first aired in Japan on April 6, 2019 and quickly became one of the most popular anime in the world. The first season of the series was followed by the release of a movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba –The Movie: Mugen Train, which was released in 2020 and would go on to become the highest-grossing anime film of all time. The anime’s second season began airing in late 2021 and was primarily based on an adaptation of the manga’s highly regarded entertainment district arc. The season was praised by critics for its quality animation and intricate action choreography. A third season has been confirmed to be in production.

Murderer of demons was created by manga author Koyoharu Gotouge in 2016. The series has become one of shonen jumpThe biggest hits of the last decade, with more than 150 million copies in circulation worldwide.
