One of the most powerful characters in the entire Dragon Ball saga is a god, but even with his massive amounts of power, he’s completely useless.
There are few characters in the Dragon Ball manga that are more powerful than Goku and Vegeta, but the one that is… is absolutely useless. The God of Destruction, Lord Beerus, demonstrated his power in his first interaction with Goku and Vegeta. Beerus made quick work of the two Saiyan warriors after Lord Beerus threatened to destroy the world. Even when Goku became the Legendary Super Saiyan God, he was still no match for Beerus, who was only using a fraction of his power to easily beat him. Although Beerus is one of the most powerful characters in the Dragon Ball saga, has a detrimental trait that makes it completely useless.
On dragon ball super Chapter 46 by Akira Toriyama and Toyotarou, the villainous Moro is draining the life from the planet New Namek and is pulverizing Goku and Vegeta in the process. When Whis, Lord Beerus’s guardian angel, becomes aware of Moro’s planet-destroying force, he alerts the God of Destruction to the unfolding event. Rather than spring into action and stop the being from destroying a planet without his permission, Beerus simply shrugs it off and goes back to doing nothing on his homeworld.
Despite being able to destroy Moro with little more than a thought, Lord Beerus decides to allow the villain to grow in power and threaten the entire universe. Lord Beerus’ vast powers are completely useless, as he is too lazy to really use them for anything that might be of benefit to the Z-Fighters and even the universe. Lord Beerus is not only lazy, but he is completely self-centered and won’t lift a finger unless he immediately benefits from doing so. In fact, the main reason he doesn’t help Namek is because, “That planet doesn’t have food, since the people there only drink water, so… I’m not interested.”
The only thing Lord Beerus likes more than a long nap is food. Beerus is more motivated by food than Goku could ever dream of and even allowed Earth to remain undestroyed after learning about the incredible cuisine the planet had to offer. Since Namek had no food, Beerus had no reason to help the planet survive no matter how dangerous the being that was destroying it might have been.
Although lazy and selfish, Lord Beerus has proven to be a great asset to Goku and Vegeta. While he rarely lifts a finger to help them, Beerus allows the two Saiyans to train in his world, and even gives Vegeta the secret of Ultra Ego, a form that gives one the power of a God of Power. Destruction. However, when the Z-Fighters found themselves fighting their most terrifying villain, Moro, Beerus was initially out of sight because he had nothing to gain from the situation and mainly because he just didn’t feel like it, showing that Dragon BallThe most powerful character is also the most useless.
