Karitrickster is a self-taught makeup artist based in the United States. Kari usually focuses on cutting-edge makeup looks, but she has cosplayed before. In her latest cosplay, Kari perfectly recreates Melina’s look from elden ring. Using contouring and highlighting helps Kari match Melina’s face shape. Kari included Melina’s signature feature: a spider leg tattoo coming out of her eyelid.

It’s hard to tell if the tattoo is makeup or something permanent. The photo edit makes Kari look like she stepped out of the game and came to life as Melina, one of the most important characters players encounter early in the game.

exactly how Dark souls, Elden ring is full of challenging boss encounters and Malenia is the most powerful empyrean in the game. Malenia’s sword is also made of foam. The metallic details are made with bronze spray paint. Malenia has deep red hair that moves behind her in the game’s battle, so Megalcarmen chose a long red wig to go along with her cosplay.

Recreation of the bloody wolf

Sunlightofastora used various cosplay creation techniques to achieve a game-accurate cosplay of Bloody Wolf. Only the front chest piece uses 3D paint, sculpted foam clay, EVA foam, not to mention actual chain mail to cover the face and neck.

Chain mail was also made by hand. Sunlightofastora has created several other armor-based cosplays, but none as detailed as this one. Instead of having a shiny metallic finish on the armor, the artist chooses to give each piece a battle-worn look that adds to the cosplay accuracy.

Malenia but with extra muscle

Kittybitcosplay also transformed into her version of Malenia. In her version, Malenia’s prosthetic arm is made of foam, but instead of covering the other arm; they made her sleeveless top. Her cosplay was inspired by the fan art of @vale_lacroix, who drew a muscular version of Malenia in a tank top drawing her sword.

Kittybitcosplay added more detail to the top by adding accessories around the waist and using a textured fabric that gives the top movement. The details of the helmet are almost identical to the helmet worn by Malenia in the game.

Melina’s dress and cape

Little was known about Melina’s clothes when the trailer for the game was released. Maruwinscrafts was surprised by the accuracy of her cosplay in the game. Maruwinscrafts perfectly matches the white layered collar shown under Melina’s cape, as well as the cape itself.

There are a lot of details involved with this cosplay. Malenia wears a fur collar with her red cape in the game, which was included here. Roga_na_noge doubled the fringe loops that trim her skirt as well. Malenia rarely exposes the upper part of her face. Various colors of paint are used on Malenia’s arm to make it look more like armor and more worn. Roga_na_noge stayed true to that detail with a copy of Malenia’s golden helmet.

Malenia without her helmet

Although rare, there is a time when elden ring where Malenia is seen without her helmet. This moment was seen in the trailer by cosplayer Lady_lessien and inspired her to recreate her look with makeup.
