Vegeta’s Strongest Form Is Officially Resolved By Dragon Ball Super

Vegeta has many powerful transformations in Dragon Ball Super, and now, the manga has officially confirmed which one is the strongest.

One of Dragon Balls most famous elements are their legendary transformations, and few characters get such exciting power-ups as Vegeta. Given the number of different forms Vegeta takes throughout Dragon Ball and its sequel series dragon ball super, it’s only natural for fans to wonder which of his transformations is the strongest of them all. Fortunately, the official answer is finally confirmed and the results are perfect.

Not counting incremental upgrades, fusions, or evil power-ups, Vegeta possesses seven major transformations throughout the entirety of Dragon Ball, dragon ball superand Dragon Ball GT. Vegeta’s main forms are Great Ape, Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and most recently Ultra Ego. Oddly enough, Vegeta is never shown accessing Super Saiyan 3 in either the original manga or its two sequels, though he does have access to it in more than a few spin-offs. Fans have been mostly debating whether Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan 4, or Ultra Ego is his most powerful form, and it seems those debates finally have a clear winner.

TO Dragon Ball fan account @DBSCronicles recently tweeted an English translation of an article on V jump detailing Vegeta’s journey throughout Dragon Ball. While the article overall is a fun walk through the history of the Saiyan Prince, it’s the latest entry detailing Ultra Ego that should catch fans’ attention. In particular, the last sentence reads: “As his fighting spirit burns, he grows stronger and stronger, making him the strongest form of all!” Although Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 will most likely start out stronger than Ultra Ego, this quote seems to suggest that Ultra Ego has a much higher power cap than anything seen before.

While some fans will likely still have their objections, this makes in-universe sense. The buff plays on Vegeta’s inherent arrogance and lust for battle, increasing his power whenever an opponent is foolish enough to harm him. However, more than being logical, this also fits Vegeta’s character perfectly. Of all the main transformations that Vegeta has access to, the Ultra Ego transformation is the only one that is completely unique to Vegeta. Even after Vegeta becomes a full hero, he still has a sense of arrogance and pride. It’s only natural that his most powerful form would be one that is his and his alone (even if he only developed it with the help of Beerus).

One of Dragon Balls main themes is self-improvement. The transformations in the series aren’t just updates, they’re signs that a character has grown and become stronger in their sense of self. Looking at it this way, it becomes clear why Dragon Ball chose Ultra Ego as of vegeta more powerful way.
