8 Androids In Dragon Ball, Ranked From Most Powerful To Least

androids in Dragon Ball tend to be some very heavy hitters, capable of withstanding, if not resisting, punches from Super Saiyans and beyond.

Naturally, since there have been so many, debates continue as to who exactly is the strongest Android. The introduction of Android 21 into the Dragon Ball FighterZ game certainly upped the ante for Android’s power, similar to how 17, 18, and Cell did in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Dragon Ball Z.

After much deliberation, here are eight androids in Dragon Ball ordered from most powerful to least.

Note: The article represents the author’s views and there are spoilers for the entirety of the Dragon Ball series, including FighterZ. There are no alternate or android versions of movies.

The 8 most powerful androids in Dragon Ball

1)Android 17

Android 17 has arrived a length way of fighting Piccolo to a draw in Dragon Ball Z. In his debut, he was able to kill Doctor Gero, defeat Tien, knock out Future Trunks, and take down Piccolo in one hit. The problem was that, at the time, he greatly underestimated Cell and was ambushed and sucked in after the grueling fight he and Piccolo had.

Years later, in dragon ball super, 17 seemed to have settled down as a ranger on Monster Island, marrying and having a family with the ranger. The manga even revealed that he had tamed the remaining Cell Juniors and let them live there. More specifically, when Goku was recruiting for the Tournament of Power, he fought 17, and 17 showed that he could handle Super Saiyan Blue.

17 proved to be the strongest android with her actions during the Tournament of Power. He did the following:

  • He took out several of Universe 2’s champions (who were strong enough to take on Goku in Super Saiyan Blue).
  • He helped contain the monstrous Agnilasa and even destroyed his power reactor, leading to his elimination.
  • He fought Top to a standstill, causing Top to become Destroyer.
  • He discovered Jiren’s weakness and was one of the first to deal serious damage to him.
  • He was the last man standing in the Tournament of Power and the winner.

To be frank, anyone who can take on a monster like Jiren It deserves all the awards it can get. Attempting to help Moro also helped buy time and helped both Vegeta and Goku as they were being defeated.

2) Android 18

Just like Android 17 has come a long way, so is 18. After his debut in the Android Saga of Dragon Ball Zcoldly broke both of Vegeta’s arms and knocked out Future Trunks.

She didn’t do anything to Krillin except kiss him on the cheek, which was very lucky for everyone involved. The only other thing to note is that she fought Cell hard with Piccolo, Tien, Krillin and 16, after 17 was absorbed. Unfortunately, she too was absorbed despite her best efforts.

Fortunately, after Cell was defeated, 18 revived and married Krillin. They had a son named Marron together and everything, which was surprising but sweet. After proving that she still had it by defeating Goten and Trunks (although she was working for Mr. Satan solely for the prize money), she was unfortunately killed by Super Buu along with Krillin.

Fast forward to some point of dragon ball superaside from dueling with Beerus, she primarily raised Marron alongside Krillin (helping him in the process) before the Tournament of Power began.

In said tournament, he showed that he had not lost anything in terms of his fighting prowess. First, she and Krillin took on Goku and proved that he was more than a match. Later, in the Tournament proper, she took out several of the top fighters, including Ribrianne, and proved to be a team player by helping Goku and the others at key moments.

She also took the hit that the Agnilasa monster fusion had meant for 17 and ended up throwing him back into the arena. Also, she was there to help with Moro. She was also instrumental in destroying Super Android 17 in Dragon Ball GT. 18 has proven that he deserves this spot on the list.

3) Android 21

A relative newcomer to the Dragon Ball FighterZ video game, Android 21 was technically based on Dr. Gero’s wife, though it varies from narrative to narrative. Although she is technically very powerful, enough to rival a Super Saiyan God at least, she is third only because 18 has more moments to prove her worth and in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, 21 states that 18 is much stronger than her. .

Whatever the case may be, Android 21 left a big mark. She was made from the cells of all the past Dragon Ball Z villains (Cell and Buu included) and was able to fight all of the Z Fighters before having to be stopped by all of them combined.

She is quite unique in that her Majin cells make her hungry and she splits her personality with her evil self. They make her want to consume everything in sight, never ruling out world domination.

The point is that he is a worthy addition to the Android roster as he has defeated so many and can consume whoever he wants. Pray that her good personality will sustain her.

4) Cell

It’s pretty obvious that Cell would be on this list. The revolutionary Android of Dragon Ball Z he made a number on anyone and everyone he came across. Whether it’s beating Piccolo and almost absorbing him, absorbing entire cities, being the scariest monster. Dragon Ball produced up to that point? Cell was phenomenal.

The fact that he was smart was also a point in his favor. He stalked his victims as the Predator, waited for everyone else to tire, then pounced. He was able to overpower 17, absorb 18 through trickery, and then kill 16 later in the Cell Games. The fact that he even Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks didn’t stand a chance against him, it says a lot.

Only Gohan was finally able to defeat this deadly foe, and only after the epic Father/Son Kamehameha combination. The signs hint that he may return in the Dragon Ball Super: Superhero movie, but fans will have to wait and see for that.

5) Android 16

The most powerful of the trio of androids, around the Android Saga in Dragon Ball Z, the silent behemoth Android 16 was a fan favorite for a long time. His calm, almost Terminator-like demeanor made many fans nervous as they feared he would explode at any moment. It turns out that he was just a gentle soul who loved nature after all, but he was no less a tough fighter.

He injured Imperfect Cell and went toe-to-toe with Semi-Perfect Cell. The Hell’s Flash technique managed to severely weaken Cell, and even broke Imperfect Cell’s tail. The problem was that once Cell came out perfect, he was too much for the Android.

16 died giving Gohan the rage and strength he needed to vaporize Cell and his Cell Juniors.

6) Android 19

The first of the other two androids Trunks didn’t predict, Android 19 gave the Z Fighters a spin. At least he gave one to Goku. He fought the android to a standstill until he turned Super Saiyan. The battle went in Goku’s favor for a while until the heart virus hit him fiercely and 19 began to drain the energy out of him. This was one of the things that tipped the scales in his favor.

Android 19 was brutal, efficient, and more than a little sadistic. But the battle with Goku seemed to have done more than a small number on his brain, because he arrogantly believed that he could kill Super Saiyan Vegeta. This does not works. Absolutely. It ended with the Android being ripped from his hands, and then blown to bits with a Big Bang Attack. This was a fitting end to 19 and a triumphant return for Vegeta.

7) Android 20

Dr. Gero himself does it more as a token effort than anything else. He became an android after Goku’s utter devastation of the Red Ribbon army around him. Dragon Ball. He made all the androids above and based the mainline androids on Goku’s power around WITH. The problem was that he didn’t take Frieza into account until the creation of Cell.

Never mind, he figured 16-20 himself could handle them. 19 was erased, so Gero himself ran. Despite having his own power, making him capable of handling Z Fighters, he lost an arm fighting Piccolo, and was badly damaged by all the others before he reached 17 and 18.

An interesting thing to note: 17 and 18 were based on criminals he encountered, 16 was based on his son, 19 was based on a doll he found at an enemy base, and he himself would be 20 years old to achieve immortality.

His latest revenge came in the form of Cell from an alternate timeline. Gero himself never got to see him as 17 killed him.

8) android 8

An older and somewhat forgotten Android in Dragon Ball history, Android 8 was smoother than even Android 16! When he activated and confronted Goku, Android 8 refused to fight because Goku was literally a child. So Goku allowed himself to be shot and the friendly android turned hostile, punching General White and knocking him out of Muscle Tower.

He destroyed Muscle Tower and eliminated the Red Ribbon Army contingent in Jingle Village with his own force. It was quite hard for Goku even in Dragon Ballnever mind in the video games where he was brainwashed and the Z Fighters have to help him come to his senses.

Additional Mention: Arale Norimaki

The question on everyone’s mind is, why is Android 8 in the official rankings and not Arale? Arale is more of a joke manga character like Saitama. She doesn’t operate out of the typical Dragon Ball laws of narration and cannot be included. He is capable of cutting the Earth in half, easily stomping on Vegeta and Goku, among other things!

So unfortunately she has to be an additional mention. If she were officially included in Dragon Ball seriously, he would be at the top of the food chain or at least be a match for Beerus. Although Beerus has already shown that he is immune to joke characters.
