Later, Genya found out that she was her own mother, but she didn’t realize that she had become a demon and blamed Sanemi for her death.

Sanemi left the house and started killing other demons after realizing that her blood was special. Her high quality Marechi blood had the uncanny ability to intoxicate demons with the scent of her. Soon, she met a member of the Demon Slayer Corps and honed her swordsmanship to be better equipped to slay demons. That same member, a close friend of Sanemi’s, sadly met her demise before a lower moon demon, leaving Sanemi grieving once again.
